Skiing!

This past Saturday a bunch of us went skiing at Wintergreen in Virginia. It was my first time skiing and I had a blast! We woke up at 4AM and started our trip at 5. Had breakfast around 7 and got there around 8:30 or 9. I first took a lesson that lasted an hour and a half. My instructor was excellent at learning our names, I only had to tell her my name once! She made learning skiing fun, so I really enjoyed the lesson. After my lesson I was excited to go skiing more but we stopped for lunch first. Then I finally got to go down a decent sized hill and I went WAY too fast. After wiping out I realized how important it is to go back and forth rather than straight down. =) By the end of the day I managed to go down a blue-square hill a couple times without much trouble. On the way back home my muscles were killing me but overall I had an excellent time and will definitely go skiing again.

Work is going well. Getting lots of overtime. I've only got one more month with this project. After this one is over I'll be moving to work with a different department in IBM... INS (Intelligent Notification Services). Hopefully I got that acronym right.

Sunday I slept in really late and then just hung around and did laundry. Then I made Sarah get dinner with me since I hadn't seen enough of her this past week!
