Bought a Bike, Got Wet

Went to Target 'cuz Sandra suffers shopping withdrawal if we don't go to a store (even if it's a grocery store) within any 24-hour period, or something like that. =) I've been wanting to get a bike so I'd get myself out of the house a little more often so I headed to the back where the bikes are located. One of them caught my eye so I pulled it off the rack and started looking at it and seeing if it was a good size for me. Of course, as I sit on the bike some employee tells me not to ride in the store. Geez dude, I just want to see if I really want to buy it, and I haven't even hardly moved. Anyway, I decided to get it. Taking it home was a pain in the butt. It has a quick release front-wheel but I couldn't figure out how to get the brakes out of the way to actually get the wheel off. (I've since figured this out.) So I ended up putting the rear seats down and tossing the bike in the trunk. Of course, the trunk wouldn't close so I went inside to see if someone could give me some twine or something to tie the trunk shut. The employees were about 0% helpful so I went back outside in frustration. Of course, it was also RAINING (like it has been all freaking weekend) so I was getting soaked and just wanted to leave. So that's what we did. The whole time I just knew the trunk was gonna bounce up and my trunk get flooded with water. Well, somehow we made it home without it opening (just a lot of slight bouncing and creaking) and everything was a-okay. (Except my attitude... I was kind of annoyed about the whole situation.) Anyway, now I have my bike which I really like but STILL have not ridden due to this crap weather. But I can take pictures:

I also bought new tires for my car. I bought some good ones. My old ones got 75,000 miles on them, which is pretty much a ridiculously large amount of mileage for one set of tires. I'm happy with them so far. Got them in time for our trip to NC next weekend. Yay!
